2/14/92 — Our NICU Journey Day 90

February 14, 2011

Isaac — 969 grams

Molly — 1334 grams

Valentine's Day picture of Ike taken by the nurses in his (very unattractive) Cabbage Patch Kids outfit. They were still shaving his head pretty regularly to find good IV sites, so he's still a little cue-ball, which is so strange given his current thick mane of black hair. Just look at the size of those booties. They were tiny, but they look like UGGs on him.

Isaac

OK, big guy. You are doing really well. I’m very nervous about leaving for the weekend. Actually, I’ll only miss seeing you one day — Saturday — but it sure will be hard. Daddy and I both held you last night and it was such fun. You were calm and happy. Gain lots of weight this weekend, pal, and be a good boy. I love you and I’ll miss you, but Daddy will be here. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Molly

Miss Molly, you are making me very nervous here. You dropped your heart rate as soon as I walked in. You brought yourself back up right away, but how can I leave you if you keep doing goofy things like that. I’m going to Michigan for your baby shower later today and I won’t be back until Sunday. Don’t worry, Daddy will be here. He will watch over you. I will miss you so much, but I’ll call and see how you are doing. I love you. Be a good girl. Happy Valentine’s Day!

So great to watch Isaac and Molly’s improvement and development day-by-day. His eyes are amazing. Great Valentine gift!
