4/26/92 (Day 162) — Children’s Memorial Day 14

April 26, 2011

Heres a picture of our girl from earlier in the month, before we took her in for heart surgery. Two weeks at Childrens Memorial Hospital. It seemed like forever. I wish I had kept a journal during that hospitalization, but I was too busy running back and forth between Molly at the hospital and Isaac at home. I do remember feeling utterly frustrated. I remember pacing around her Ohio bed in that large recovery room, being warned over and over again not to look at the other beds, not to violate anyones privacy. There was no privacy. There was no comfort or reaching out. You were alone in a room full of people.
