4/29/92 (Day 165) — Children’s Memorial Day 17

April 29, 2011

This is the play list from a Little Richard album, the first present I ever bought for Molly. I made a cassette tape (remember those) of the album and took to blaring "Good Golly, Miss Molly" in the car on the way to and from Childrens. His energetic rendition of her theme song always gave me hope.

Home nursing notes:

Midnight — received from dad, who stated Ike had been awake/fussy all day. He has been snacking on 5-20 ccs at a time. He had just settled down quietly asleep in his crib, bundled in a blanket with his pacifier. Dated stated Ike received all his midnight meds. Gradually quietly woke at 1:00 a.m. w/wet diaper. Took 30 ccs in 30 minutes of 1/2 breast milk 1/2 formula. Had frequent rest periods — would fall asleep then wake up and suck on nipple for 5 ccs, then fall asleep for one or two minutes. Burped well had had loos brown stool. Slept in crib till 3:30, gradually waking up from a quiet sleep, stretching. Too 40 ccs over 30 minutes, needing frequent rest periods. Woke up crying at 5:30. Noted audible bowel sounds. Refused pacifier, but calmed down with a bottle, taking 45 ccs in 30 minutes; needed frequent burping. Slept on and off for 30 minutes, then woke up, again refusing pacifier. Calmed down nippling 10 ccs, sleeping on and off/fussy. Noted audible bowel sounds; gave Mylicon at 6:30 a.m. Wide awake and crying, refusing pacifier, but calmed down when held and rocked.

Day: ate reasonably, had one small spit up after feeding. Still feeds with difficulty. Fell asleep in swing.
